ABNKKBSNPLAko?! The Movie

Bob Ong’s ABNKKBSNPLAko?! The Movie (2014)

Directed by: Mark Meily

A teacher got invited for a high school reunion, allowing him to reminisce his school years starting from elementary to college.

The presentation of his memories has no rhythm.

Babanggitin nila halos lahat ng mga firsts, gaya ng first alphabet, first lesson, first crush, first prom at maraming pang iba.

They enumerated all special moments — like they’re some part of a checklist that needs to be read before the movie ends.

This movie has the potential to impart positive values, most especially about friendship and education. But the way it was shared lacks passion and direction.

They will just bombarb you with information through narrations.

The storytelling technique is not cohesive. Each scene can stand on its own as a short skit. The only common denominator that links them altogether are school memories.

They put a little of bit of everything in different pockets, failing to form a holistic journey you can look back and look forward to.

Aba. Nakakabasa na pala ako.
