Deception (2022)
Directed by: Joel Lamangan
The overall presentation lacks authenticity and elegance. The flashback effects are tacky. The scenes are executed at a bare minimum.
The characters have no weight. Many actors appear with no greater purpose.
Claudine Barretto being a vengeful mother isn’t convincing. Her backstory is not helping to justify her actions. While Mark Anthony Fernandez is acting hysterical for unknown reasons.
The movie is filled with glaring loopholes and lazy writing, making the story unbelievable and deceitful.
