Fall Guy (Vivamax 2023) Directed by: Joel Lamangan
A social climber becomes the fall guy for a crime he didn’t do.
Can he climb his way out of the prison or will he fall into his own grave?
This Vivamax movie has few sex scenes, but it still fucks you with its compelling story and social commentary—showing how messed up life can be in the Philippines. The porn is not about sex but about poverty and injustice.
The ensemble consists of hit and miss casts. Half of them can act, while the rest can’t. It’s hard to watch the good actors interacting with the bad ones, because it ends up being comical. However, when the scene only comprises of the real actors, it turns out to be emotional.
The execution entails a boring unimaginative melodrama. For some parts, it’s tolerable since the primary goal is to tell a story. For most parts, it’s lifeless and unremarkable. The story has so much to give, yet the shots are not giving anything but dullness.
This film suffers from a bland direction—which serves as the main reason why it keeps on falling despite its potential.
But if you’re looking for a new Vivamax movie that is packed with more story than sex, then this is your guy.
