How To Slay A Nepo Baby (2024)
Directed by: Rod Marmol
Nagsimula siyang masaya at maingay.
The movie’s atmosphere is not giving thrill nor excitement. The camera angles are lame. You won’t take the scenes seriously. A beautiful location was made unrealistic and unserious by the production and costume design. The editing is a let-down, making the transitions look abrupt.
There’s one conversation wherein a nepo baby shares her perspective in life and the pressure she’s getting. That’s probably the highlight of the movie because only during that moment you’d get a piece of them. Other than that, it’s already noise.
The presence of Sue Ramirez can sometimes make you forget all the movie’s flaws because of her amusing portrayal. Barbie Imperial was just fine. Juan Carlos Galano was not convincing. Phi Palmos was not creepy. Sue Prado was underutilized. The rest of the cast are underwhelming.
The movie’s concept is good but disappointment comes with its execution and story that fails to progress into something more.
The movie failed to slay in any way.
