Kunwari Mahal Kita (2023) Directed by: Roderick Lindayag
Nathalie Hart has the tendency to exaggerate her acting. But sometimes, that energy helps in releasing the needed tension in the scene.
Ryza Cenon and Joseph Marco complement each other. You’ll root for their love story at some point because of the chemistry they’ve established throughout the movie.
The movie is lengthy. It almost felt like a series in a movie cut. And despite having a long runtime, there’s still a lot of events missing. The editing is also not clean, with abrupt transitions in between.
Considering the main character was a tour guide, the tourist spots in Bolinao Pangasinan are not utilized nor highlighted. The cinematography is underwhelming.
There could have been a better title than “Kunwari Mahal Kita”, because the whole movie is more than that. The title didn’t really capture the essence of the story. The ending felt hurried, forced and quite unnecessary.
Given its flaws, the movie’s real beauty lies on its sincere storytelling and effective actors.
Walang pagkukunwari. Nagbigay ito ng kilig, saya at ngiti.
