One Day League: Dead Mother, Dead All (PCPFF 2024)
Written & Directed by: Eugene Torres
6 ex-friends form a volleyball team
to compete in a one day league.
Each of them has a colorful personality, but that color was not translated well on screen. The cinematography is pale. The visuals are not vibrant.
Days leading to the main event was anti-climactic. The flash back and flash forward of the scenes weren’t smooth. The idea of competing in one day was not achieved. The game itself wasn’t exciting.
Dead editing. Dead all.
The comedians made this movie somehow alive.
Nakakatuwa silang panuorin. Pinaka-laughtrip yung eksena nina Macoy Dubs at Negi. Despite short exposure, Manila Luzon’s presence was appreciated.
While the story of their friendship had a weak foundation, its presence was felt due to their natural connection.
