KAKA (2021)
Directed by: GB Sampedro
Sunshine Guimary is not believable in her role as a Radio DJ. Her voice lacks conviction and authenticity, discrediting every word she’d say. Ion Perez too had the same problem. Both of them got the looks and the body. But they don’t have chemistry and the acting abilities—which are essential on any lead role.
Jerald Napoles, being a natural comedian, plus the supporting cast make this movie a little less painful to watch. The appearances of some singers offer a breath of fresh air, but the way they were inserted lacks excitement and creativity.
The audio dubbing can be disturbing, because you’d hear different sound qualities in every scene.
This movie is promoted for its sexy comedy genre, but the humor is lifeless and the sexy scenes are plotless and emotionless. It’s not enticing. It’s just saddening.
KAKA-lungkot.
KAKA-yamot.
KAKA-bagot.
