When life gets hard, the easiest thing to do is cry. And this film gives plenty of tearjerker moments. Many times you may want to surrender, but the lead character rescues you from giving up.


Instead of dwelling on hardships and shortcomings, they focus more on what they have and what they can offer.


Sufferings are shaped into blessings.


The film doesn’t overwhelm you with intricate details, yet it doesn’t hold back in sharing heartfelt moments. Amidst emotional intensity, they remain subtle and grounded in telling the story.

Family members have genuine connection with one another. Even if they don’t talk too much, you know they care for each other. And when they do speak, their words make sense. Everyone is given the chance to be heard. The ending gives a beautiful summary of how a family should be.


Sometimes, the film holds back information, unveiling them later to create more impact. The musical scoring is guaranteed to bring tears. Certain lines are thought-provoking.


From books to diapers to computers, their priorities may shift, but compassion and composure remain intact. Regardless of the headcount, siblings aren’t treated as numbers or an added burden.


Given its values and mindset, this family and this film deserve all the cheers and support they can get.
