Ayuda Babes (2021)
Directed by: Joven Tan
This movie is filled with green jokes and random comedy sketches that can get pointless, because it’s not adding up to craft their story. A few jokes would make you smile. Some have double meaning which can be clever. But most lines are just tacky, giving insults more than laughs.
Pag nagpapatawa sila, may sound effects kang maririnig. Subalit buong palabas ay nagpapatawa sila. Kaya parating may sound effects.
There’s a lack of creative screenplay and direction. Most dialogues do not help in empathizing with the lives of the characters. Most conversations lead to nowhere but a punchline.
Towards the latter part where they stopped being clowns and started being real, the movie had an instant 360-degree turn from being a comedy show into a reality show.
The movie has good intentions, giving a proactive message at the end. However, they merely enumerated all those things in just one sitting. The journey of how they acquired those realizations is missing.
If only they used all their humor to slowly arrive at their desired message, then this movie could be more enjoyable and satisfying to watch.
