Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy (2025)
Directed by: Michael Morris

Even in the simplest of things, this movie always finds its way to be relatable and heartfelt. šš³šŖš„šØš¦šµĀ šš°šÆš¦š“Ā is not just a character but a real human being you can easily connect with.
Thereās no pretensions and exaggerations. Not overly dramatic but itās emotional. Not so loud yet itās resonating. The moments felt real and intimate. Itās very human. A raw and honest portrayal of life.
The movie is truly adjacent to a diary. Each page has its own beauty. Acknowledge every step of the way. Feel the ups and downs. Embrace the joy and pain.
It may have started weak, but it ended strong. Thereās dullness in the beginning, which is reminiscent of the main characterās life. But as soon as she wrote her next chapter, colors started to appear.
The title āšš¢š„Ā šš£š°š¶šµĀ šš©š¦Ā šš°šŗā doesnāt entirely capture the filmās tone, but thatās not something to be mad about. The direction is sincere and calm, allowing life experiences to shine. Emotions are amplified by a concise and powerful musical score. The transitions are smooth. RenĆ©e Zellweger is perfect and lovable.
Even if youāre not familiar with Bridget Jones, youāll surely end up loving her. Even without knowing anything about the franchise, this movie is beautiful on its own.
Among the roster of films showing today, šš³šŖš„šØš¦šµĀ šš°šÆš¦š“Ā is a perfect date this Valentineās day. Nothing more romantic than having a date with life.
Allow yourself to live and not just survive.
