Day Zero (2022)
Directed by: Joey de Guzman
This is the day before zombies take over us.
The zombies looked scary. The makeup team actually did justice to them. The problem lies to the living people that they are eating. The cast are not worth rooting for, except for Brandon Vera.
Binuhat ni Brandon Vera ang pelikula. Bagamat hindi siya bihasa sa pag-arte, ka-pani-paniwala ang mga ginagawa niya rito.
The action scenes are satisfying when he is doing it. Smashing the zombies with his fighting skills and big arms is realistic.
The story about the zombie itself was not tackled. And the plot for each character was not explored. You can’t seem to establish a connection with them, since most scenes are about fighting or hiding from zombies.
How can you fear for their lives
if you can’t feel sorry for them?
The zombies are more alive
than the lifeless people.
