Everyone Knows Every Juan (2025)
Directed by: Alessandra De Rossi

All the actors are in their own unique element. Everyone knows how to steal the scene, and then give the floor to the next actor—once they’re done having their moment.
The cameo appearances are also memorable. Regardless of whether their roles are significant or not, they manage to leave a mark. Empoy is a living proof.
The facial expressions of Angeli Bayani draw attention. And when she speaks, it’s guaranteed to bring laughter. Ruby Ruiz’ tears are on call. Gina Alajar is consistently in character.
They are trying to achieve a single, long continuous shot for the whole film, which runs for 110 minutes. However, there’s a semi-black portion somewhere at the latter part that ruins the illusion of a continuous shot. Despite the mishap, it still deserves credit.
You can’t help but think about the logistics of everything. There’s a big crowd, weather changes, moving vehicles, internal to external shots. All these elements are shown without interruption.
Sometimes, it can get dizzy following the camera constantly moving and turning. The audio quality of the actors’ voices is a bit off. The script feels contrived and unnatural, throwing all possible topics into a single day—just to achieve the one long take.
There’s a deliberate attempt to make every character messy and crazy, so that they have something to talk about endlessly.
Problems keep piling up, failing to address them properly. Unnecessary events and typical tropes are inserted, even if they aren’t adding value to the story.
You may get to see every Juan in the movie,
but knowing them is a different story.
