Fear Street: Prom Queen (2025)
Directed by: Matt Palmer

How lame it is to introduce all the characters through flat narration and cheap editing? From that instance, you’ll know the movie will do no good.
People are getting killed before you even get the chance to know them. There’s no emotional attachment to any of them, so you couldn’t care less what happens to them.
Neither of the prom queen candidates has a personality that’s worth rooting for. They are all forgettable. Anticipation towards the prom night is nonexistent.
Apart from the music playlist, the 1988 setting is barely felt. Important details are just part of lousy dialogues and corny expositions.
It’s too obvious when a person is about to get killed.
The movie is bad in building tension. Although violent, the death scenes are uncreative and unimpactful. The killer reveal comes with no surprise, along with a shallow motivation.
Victims aren’t thinking anymore—so is the killer.
We have a dumb-dumb situation.
Prom Queen is a clownery, bringing disservice to the Fear Street franchise. The only thing to fear here is the time lost while watching this movie.
