Ligaw / Lost (VMX 2025)

Directed by: Omar Deroca

𝗗𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 is a shameless immoral woman who cheats without remorse. Self-proclaimed virgin 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝗿𝗼𝗻 willingly becomes a third party. 𝗥𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹, a man with injuries, can miraculously walk without personal assistance. 𝗢𝗹𝗮𝗻 points his sharp gun to the woman he likes. 𝗝𝗮𝘀 and 𝗭𝗮𝗸’s only role is to have sex in public.

Not a single character in this movie is worth rooting for. All their actions are senseless and questionable, leading towards unwarranted sex.

Conversations are lame and dragging. The lead’s playful personality doesn’t come across well on screen, making the scenes dull and lifeless. The script focuses more on revealing clothes than developing the story. Acting performances are not only weak but also irritating.

The movie’s gorgeous setting is its only positive aspect, but it's tainted by the characters' persistent negativity and poor decisions. Nature ends up getting molested.

As the largest local movie streaming platform in the Philippines with more than 12 million subscribers, VMX (formerly known as Vivamax) seems to be contented in utilizing its platform for sex scenes. Combining erotic content with meaningful storytelling is a constant struggle for them.

When those in charge fail to leverage their power and platforms well, uncertainty prevails. The path forward remains adrift and lost.

Patuloy tayong maliligaw.

Saan ba talaga tayo papunta?
