LILO AND STITCH

Lilo and Stitch (2025)

Directed by: Dean Fleischer Camp

If you’re a fan of the cartoon, then you’ll also enjoy the live-action version. This movie stays true to the original—with subtle tweaks that enhance its beauty and emotional impact.

Characters are more humane and multidimensional.

While retaining his naughty nature, Stitch is able share his vulnerable and sentimental side. Even though the cartoon Lilo is more lighthearted, the live-action Lilo has shown maturity. Bonding between the two titular characters could’ve been stronger. Sibling connections could’ve been tighter.

The music is not as powerful as before. There are barely enough songs to highlight their culture. The pacing can get monotonous. Laughs and gimmicks are consistent, but they eventually become stale.

The movie excels in capturing moments that touch the heart. Without losing the charm of the original, this adaptation succeeds in adding a layer of human complexity. The story is not only for entertainment; it also teaches valuable lessons, especially for kids.

A decent watch for the family, 𝘓𝘪𝘭𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩 reiterates what family really means. More than just a catchphrase, 𝘖𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘢 has taken on a deeper significance that effectively summarizes the whole movie.

Far from perfect, 𝘓𝘪𝘭𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩 remains to be a family where love and understanding are stitched into its core.
