Love You So Bad (MMFF 2025)
Directed by: Mae Cruz-Alviar

Very snappy ang pagkaka-edit.
Without spoiling anything.
WillCa has a cheerful vibe, like cats and dogs who quarrel but ultimately unite for a common good. Nakaka-savic silang panuorin. On the other hand, DustBia has a serious tone, implying that they are willing to do anything for each other—even the bad ones. Luma-lavan sila hanggang dulo.
The exposure between the two loveteams isn’t balanced. The first one gets mostly montage moments, while the second has more time to define their relationship—making the movie seem tilted towards the latter. Nonetheless, if the loveteam war is being set aside, the story flows naturally and doesn’t feel forced.
Bianca De Vera shows potential to become the next romcom princess. She brings different energies to her leading men while maintaining her own personality. She confidently stands her ground, highlighting the worth of a true leading lady. During the confrontation scene. she is able to express her emotions and deliver her lines well.
Like a swimmer, Dustin Yu can dive into the scenes and blend with the rhythm. However, when big waves come, he struggles to stay afloat. He needs to express himself more—especially in the heavy dramatic scenes.
Like a true president, Will Ashley demonstrates an ability to take charge of any situation he’s in. By utilizing his eyes, facial expressions, and body movements, he can lead the scenes with ease.
Ana Abad Santos commands attention the moment you hear her voice. When she steps into the scene, she demands nothing less than your full focus. Her presence carries just the right amount of edge to intimidate you and make you question your own imperfections.
Personal lives of the characters aren’t fully explored. Scenes are geared towards fan service, but honestly, it’s the least of your concern. Regardless of your preferences, expect an overload of kilig and fun.
The movie brings RomCom back to the big screen, delivering an equal mix of romance and comedy. It feels so good to fall in love—to swoon over cheesy lines and to cheer for every kiss.
Ang saya lang magpaka-tanga.
Kalimutan lahat ng problema.
Ma-inlove pansamantala.
