Mumu (2025)
Directed by: Mo Sha

A deaf father with a charming little daughter may often be seen as a formula for heavy drama. Perhaps, most tearjerker clichés have been executed by this film. But its truest power lies beyond the tears.
When they use their voice to make a stand,
that’s when they soar the loudest.
That voice resonates even after the credits roll. Its impact lingers as you step out of the theater and face the real world.
Initially, the life of the lead characters seems mundane and their dialogues don’t easily grab attention. However, as supporting characters get involved, things start to go deeper. Lines have more bearing. The actions and decisions they make, especially at the latter part, have the ability to tug at heartstrings.
The father-daughter relationship is already lovely on its own. But as their family grows, love also expands. It gets better when love is shared. It’s the best feeling when compassion prevails.
Cheesy as it may sound, the story reignites the goodness in you. It drives you to step up and put your best foot forward.
A film that can move tears is beautiful, but one that moves people towards positive change is truly powerful. For using its voice to advocate rights and values, 𝘔𝘶𝘮𝘶 deserves to be heard.

A Movie Review by: Goldwin Reviews
Truly moving. As a public administration student, this movie becomes one of my eye-opener of how cruel the world could be towards our friends that needs an understanding community. From the moment I saw the teaser and after I watched the movie, there's something nestled in my heart—to work hard in order to be a good leader in my community, to serve with inclusivity and bring every service in an accessible matter. I hope everyone who watched and will watch this movie stand with every person and be a better person in this world. Remember, we only live once please live it with sense.
