Power Ballad (2026)
Directed by: John Carney

No explosive revelations. No grand climax. No heavy moments. This is a film that simply wants to tell a story—and it does so with utmost authenticity. It feels less like watching a movie but more like witnessing a life unfold before you.
Films like this one are a rarity nowadays. Stripped of plottwists and gimmicks, it allows the characters to shine and the story to leave an impression. The storytelling is simply human. You think less of the plotholes, and trust the characters to lead the journey.
When someone steals from you, it’s easy to go on the revenge route to make it more satisfying. But life has better plans. It offers something more mature and therapeutic.
The main song is already beautiful on its own, but hearing the conversations that led to the songwriting process enriches it even further. The melody is catchy and memorable, leaving you with an LSS that lingers long after the film ends.
Different versions of “𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘞𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘢 𝘚𝘰𝘯𝘨 (𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘠𝘰𝘶)” offer different experiences. It’s not just the vocals or the instrumentation that set them apart. The shift in perspective and meaning gives singers and listeners more room for song interpretation.
While the film isn’t necessarily one that demands to be seen on the big screen and can be comfortably viewed on digital devices, its cinematography still manages to impress.
The camerawork works wonders, avoiding cuts that would disrupt the flow of a performance. The lighting works its magic, transforming ordinary spaces into dreamy places.
Contrary to its title, 𝘗𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘉𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘥 doesn’t have powerful notes for big emotional release, but it carries a heartfelt tune that’s easy to follow. It offers an ending that’s less vindictive and more uplifting, embracing an outlook on life that feels far more worth chasing.
