Project Hail Mary (2026)

Directed by: Phil Lord & Christopher Miller

No exact words can capture the experience of watching this film. It’s not because of any language barrier. Rather, the experience itself is too layered to be contained in words.

It takes you through a spectrum of emotions—lifting you up, then sometimes letting you down. You are orbiting through space. Comedy, thriller, adventure, romance, horror, science fiction, and drama all come through unannounced.

At the beginning, a feeling of isolation kicks in. Despite the vastness of space, there’s little room to breathe. An overload of information and jargon fills the void. You’re trying to take it all in.

For some reason, it also makes you question your role not only at work but also in the entire universe. A sense of existential crisis takes over.

Your mind floats in the air, unsure where to look for answers. But the film eventually finds its footing, creating common ground for everyone to hold onto. What once felt inexplicable becomes understandable. Curiosity turns to empathy.

The performance of Rocky is solid—it hits hard and breaks hearts. Sandra Hüller keeps a composed exterior, yet beneath the surface lies a depth of expression and emotion.

At times, it feels like Ryan Gosling’s natural personality is more prevalent than the character itself. Humor often clashes with the severity of the situation, but Rocky manages to strike a balance.

Visuals are out of this world, though camera angles and editing don’t always do them justice.

The narrative moves through an endless cycle of hope and doubt. With ideas constantly shifting and emotions fleeting, it becomes difficult for an element to fully stand out.

By the end, it settles into a reflective journey—both inward and outward, within oneself and the world. Given its scope, the film stands as a project worth hailing.
