Send Help (2026)

Directed by: Sam Raimi

Disgusting scenes. Blood and puke all over. Witty conversations. This movie looks like your usual piece of entertainment. But it actually offers so much more.

On the surface, things may seem all over the place. The characters are on a constant high. But the ending puts everything back on the ground. The story lands with a deeper purpose.

The path toward the ending forces you to question the process. Every twist makes you ask how far they can go. Climbing the corporate ladder gets steeper. Absurdity escalates from low to moderate to extreme. Genre deliberately shifts between survival drama, thriller, horror, and even romance.

Just like in life, the methods may be questionable, but the destination makes the journey worthwhile.

Despite having only two leads, you get to meet a variety of personalities. The cast keeps evolving. Each layer of them is being peeled away—literally and figuratively—revealing what’s inside. They may look unrecognizable, but beneath the transformation, they remain the same people at their core.

Rachel McAdams turns her character into a caricature, switching between sincere and performative moments. She can blur the line between what’s real and what’s not. Dylan O’Brien effortlessly becomes the kind of boss who can pull off any trick whenever he chooses. His expressions say more than his body ever needs to.

Their relationship goes beyond the boss-employee setup. The island, where they’re trapped, signifies the world we live in. To eliminate threats and competition, strategy and planning must be applied.

Whether or not help is coming your way,

you have 𝘯𝘰 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦 but to fight—in order to survive.

It’s about time to help yourself.

Watch this movie for the ultimate survival guide.
