Superman (2025)
Written & Directed by: James Gunn

The film attempts to humanize Superman, but falls short. The script focuses more on his superhero identity and iconic status—rather than being portrayed as a relatable human being.
They can’t establish strong emotional connection. Moments often pass by in a blink of an eye—not enough time to savor and appreciate them.
Too many things are happening. Lex Luthor keeps on explaining what he’s doing. Too many characters are brawling for spotlight. Even Superman is fighting for screentime and attention in his own movie.
The direction, not being dragging, is the saving grace. Despite lacking in emotional depth, the movie makes up for its non-stop action and adventure. There’s always something to accomplish. Gimmicks and punchlines never end.
Clark Kent and Lois Lane look great on screen, but lack impact. Green Lantern and Mister Terrific are more enjoyable to watch. Metamorpho leaves a more lasting impression.
Krypto is the true superstar of the show, constantly giving cool entrances and cute fight scenes.
Visual effects are good, but the story is not. Acting performances are fine, but the script doesn’t do justice to the characters.
The story neither flies nor stays grounded.
It’s just lying in the middle, unsure where to go.
One thing is for sure though, it’s entertaining.

A Movie Review by: Goldwin Reviews

Great movie overall. I actually agree with some of your points:
There are definitely too many characters competing for screen time.
The pacing does feel rushed, likely because the film tries to introduce and juggle so many new faces, leaving little room to develop moments fully.
However, I see things differently on a few fronts:
Personally, I felt the film struck a hopeful tone—something that really stands out in today’s era of anxious pessimism. The humanization of Superman, while subtle, felt like a return to his core as a symbol of hope.
In that sense, it felt like a refreshing return to form for the Good Ol' Blue.
One thing that stood out to me, though, was a contradiction in…
I liked this movie I don't know why goldwin reviews rates it 3 stars but for me it super good not deserving of 3 star
