The Accountant 2 (2025)
Directed by: Gavin O’Connor

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵² surpasses its predecessor in more ways than one.
More inclusive. More substance. More puzzles.
The film’s thoughtful depiction of autism is praiseworthy, showcasing the vast potential and limitless possibilities associated with it.
Initially, the puzzles are unengaging and the conversations are dragging, resulting to an uneven pace that struggles to find its footing. Fight scenes are also not satisfying. But beyond the action scenes, the inclusive story has more power to move you and spark meaningful action.
Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal’s chemistry is sweeter and richer the second time around—mainly because their characters have shown more maturity and vulnerability. They are unapologetic with their imperfections, but actively working to become the best versions of themselves.
The continuous learning and growth, not only about the characters but also about the autism community, has become the heart of this film, giving it profound significance.
This sequel can be enjoyed standalone, but watching the first part will enhance your understanding and appreciation of the main character's journey.
Overall, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵² excels in examining personalities and looking beyond stereotypes. Rather than mapping out the negatives, it charts a path towards positivity and inclusivity.
