The Devil Wears Prada 2 (2026)

Directed by: David Frankel

20 years apart from the first movie, this sequel quickly establishes the new setting. It’s fast-paced, and it never moves at a glacial pace. The narrative unfolds like a trend that keeps evolving.

Not only does it keep up with trends, but it also aligns with the modern society that’s becoming more conscious and discerning by the hour. The camera loves to rapidly zoom in and out, emphasizing how big the world is — and how each character fits within it.

Inclusivity is more apparent as the new generation of professionals enters the workplace. Their interactions with established colleagues are fun to witness.

The story touches on familiar challenges—job insecurity, toxic environments, and the increasing role of technology. No industry is exempt.

While not every issue is explored in depth, the film leans toward resolution. Getting there can sometimes feel a bit drawn out. Certain twists and scenes seem off-brand. Still, it remains effective in giving clever comedy, sharp lines, and relevant drama.

How the sequel handles the continuation of the characters’ lives is thoughtful. The script doesn’t shield them from criticism, but it gives them credit where it’s due. Flaws are acknowledged, yet there’s also room for growth.

Amid the luxury of clothes, shoes, and bags, the movie’s real fashion statement lies in how it chooses to wear Character Development.

It’s a brand meant to stand the test of time, because without character, beauty is nothing.

That’s all.
