Write About Love (MMFF 2019)
Directed by: Crisanto Aquino
Most beautiful script ever written this year.
Executed with passion, creativity and love.
Imagine a script within a script. Each had its different perspective. But ends with a unified message.
The words are written with passion. Bawat usapan, may kabuluhan. As the lines go deeper, the scenes keep getting better.
The scenes are shot with creativity. Hindi lang siya visually appealing. It also has a meaning. The framing is relevant to their theme.
The moments are filled with different emotions. The eyes of Joem Bascon are so expressive. Kaya niyang magalit. Tapos iiyak after without having to be awkward. Posture at stance palang ni Rocco Nacino, alam mo na agad if he’s in pain or in control. The voice of Yeng Constantino blends with her personality and connects to the heart.
Too many times Miles Ocampo proved her excellence here. Whether simpleng pagpapa-cute or bigateng drama, nadadala ako sa kanya. Nung kinakausap nya ang tatay nya. That was her best moment. Dalawang minuto ata syang nagsasalita dun. At ibat ibang emosyon ang pinaramdam nya during that monologue. But every word and every emotion were felt.
Mula sa cast hanggang sa crew. The songs and the lines. From script to execution.
This movie is all about love. And when you do things out of love, you can never go wrong.
Everything about this movie feels so right.
