Zootopia 2 (2025)
Directed by: Jared Bush, Bryan Howard

The mystery case, that they’re working on, is not as interesting and intriguing as before. Despite the twists, the outcome remains predictable. It's the same old story and message, just with new faces.
Humanizing a venomous snake is pretty absurd and off-putting. No matter how cute the animation is, the portrayal doesn't sit right. Kids might interpret it the wrong way.
The relationship between Judy and Nick was strongly established in the first movie. But this time, their on-and-off fights drag on without truly addressing the real issues. Then it gets instantly resolved through lengthy dialogues.
The prey-predator dynamic previously worked, as it was rooted in a more believable reality. In contrast, the mammal-reptile thing presented in the sequel doesn't add up, given their inarguable differences.
When it comes to entertainment, the film delivers with constant animal puns and clever play of words, paired with adorable animations.
Zootopia 2 provides a couple of temporary laughters, but Part 1 is significantly better.
